Whilst at MEPA we believe that performance opportunities are a very important part of the training. We pride ourselves on being able to offer students a variety of performance opportunities in various theatres, venues, and styles of performances. As a result of taking part in these performances, we see students grow in confidence and professionalism, bringing them that little bit closer to a career in performing arts.
Parent Performance Evenings
A great opportunity for students to continue to build on their confidence and performance, whilst also learning the invaluable lesson of working in a professional environment. Students will get an opportunity to perform in various styles of Musical Theatre and Dance, showcasing their progression and development in a variety of genres. These evenings are held in a local theatre.
A fantastic opportunity for the year three students, who have met the criteria to showcase their three years of hard work, to agents, casting directors, choreographers and industry professionals, with the intention of gaining representation.
Annual Play or Pantomime
To ensure each and every student gains an understanding of the diverse performance opportunities available, they must experience performing not only in musicals and variety type shows but also in straight plays and character building shows such as pantomime. Gaining experience in script work, accents, comedy and characterisation.
Annual ‘MOVE IT’ Dance Convention
The biggest dance convention in the UK; MEPA Students are given the opportunity to perform in front of world renowned choreographers, performers and entertainers, on the main stage and in the showcase theatre

The biggest touring dance convention in the UK; MEPA Students are given the opportunity to perform in front of world-renowned choreographers, performers and entertainers.
Annual College Musical
An opportunity for the dance and musical theatre courses to join together and perform a full two act musical, through which students will learn how to produce a show from scratch including set design, costumes, full technical experience including using head and handheld mics, lighting and marketing.
The biggest event of the year! The final show for the year threes and a chance to showcase how far they have progressed whilst at MEPA. This performance is for all three year groups, but the year three’s will be highlighted in their chosen fields. This evening is filled with large group routines, intricate pas de duex’s, phenomenal singing solos and harmonic groups, Westend quality musical theatre numbers and much much more – a show to really wow the crowds!
